"Delegates came in willing and eager to learn." - Lauren Beretta.
In 2021, the Absa Group approached TPA to design and develop a series of digital learning assets and virtually facilitated masterclasses.
These were in support of Leadership Learning Content developed by Gibs Business School for the Absa Fellowship Programme, an Absa initiative for students registered for an undergraduate degree, rolling into postgraduate, which would run concurrently with their studies for a period of four years.
The programme has students exploring topics such as personal branding, effective communications, win-win negotiations, and entrepreneurship – all focused on realising their leadership potential.
Now in its second year, the Absa Fellowship programme recently gave students an opportunity to physically attend a two-day workshop, dedicated to cultivating their ‘inner leader’.
The workshop offered students the chance to deliberately engage with their Fellows on a range of practical topics that would not only empower them, but give them a portfolio showcasing the sum of their self-discovery as young leaders over the past year.
To this end, two sessions were hosted: one in Cape Town, where 15 Fellows participated, and another in Sandton, where 29 Fellows attended.
“The delegates came in vulnerable but willing and eager to learn,” says co-facilitator Lauren Beretta.
“They left as their bold, courageous and authentic selves, ready to step up and assume leadership roles for their families and their communities.”
We are honoured to be part of the development of the future leaders of this country and to create something that is deeply meaningful and practical, supporting them on their journeys as they bring their leadership possibilities to life.
